E-Commerce Websites

So you need an online store, not a problem.

I have a lot of experience creating online stores for multiple different industries. Everything from book stores to custom greeting card printers.

There are a lot of very important requirements to having a functional online store, and each one needs to be addressed properly or else you can end up with a lot of serious problems.

Here are a few key features that your online store will need.

Website Security

The most important thing for you, and your customers, is security. I'm sure you have heard the countless news stories of websites being hacked, causing credit card and customer details to be leaked to the general public

In reality, shopping online on a secure website is less dangerous than using your credit card in the 'real world'.

If you can't guarantee your customers full data security, then they will no doubt choose to shop elsewhere.

I create secure and well coded websites that are safe from attack. I always use strong SSL certificates to encrypt private user information and make sure it is completely private and safe.

Ease Of Use

Nothing is more frustrating than trying to purchase something from a website, but needing to jump through hoops just to find the products and then complete your order.

Think of your online store in exactly the same way as a normal retail store. There are products in the window to entice the customer inside. There are carefully organised aisles of relevant products to help the customer find exactly what it is they are looking for. And, there is a very visible till/cashier where you can actually make your purchase.

Navigation of your online store should follow the same rules, and be as simple and user friendly as possible.

If your customer is confused, or put off by the smallest aspect of your website, then the competition is only one click away.

Store Management

There is a lot that goes on in the background of an online store. Adding products, adjusting stock levels and managing orders to name a few.

You need an easy way to manage your online store, which is where a Content Management System (CMS) comes in to play.

Every online store is different, and therefore has very different needs. If you run a book store you may want the capability to setup booklists for schools and colleges. Whereas if you run a jewelery store you may want to let the customer choose from several different settings for their engagement ring.

This is why a "one size fits all" approach to Content Management Systems is not ideal. I offer a fully customised CMS that is setup specifically for your stores needs. It will contain all the tools you need to manage your store, all within a simple and easy to use interface.
