Now it's time for me to tell you how great I am, and how bad the competition is.

Well I'm not going to do that. In fact I will tell you how great some of the competition is, while still hopefully convincing you that you should choose me.

I have great experience in all aspects of website development, and pride myself on producing great results for each and every client I work with.

My Prices

I have an unfair advantage over most of the competition when it comes to prices.

While they need to pay for their office, their staff, their advertising and many other business expenses ..... I don't.

I work from my home office, so my only ongoing expense is coffee and the occasional resupply of paperclips.

So by choosing me for your website needs, you can be sure that you're only paying for your website, and not the company picnic.

My hourly, and project prices are usually half the price of the competitions, and sometimes even cheaper than that.

My Flexibility

There's no '9am to 5pm' business hours here.

I deal with clients from all over the world. So thanks to the time differences, their 9am to 5pm is usually my 1am to 9am.

So I am very used to 2am conference calls and days where I don't get to see much daylight.

The Competition

I should start by saying how bad all of the competition is, but if I did I would be lying. Here's a quick breakdown of the competition.

Big Web Development Companies

There are some tremendous web development companies, both nationally and internationally, that create truly amazing websites and graphics.

A lot of them have full teams of developers and designers that can create anything you could possibly imagine.

This is a great benefit to large corporations whose budgets have quite a lot of zeros on the end of them, but the costs are usually far too high for everyone else.

Cheap(ish) Alternatives

Unfortunately there are also a lot of 'not very good' web development alternatives around. This includes small companies and individuals that have a little experience, and are willing to try and make you a website for a decent price.

Their low(ish) prices may seem appealing, but the end product is often outdated and amateur.

The Real Competition

This is who I really have to worry about. The competition that has similar experience and skills to me, and has the ability to offer a great product for a great price.

Fortunately for me, I haven't come across very many competitors like this yet.

The ones who have similar (or better) skills to me, charge a lot more than I do. And the ones with similar prices to me, produce nowhere near the quality of the work that I can.

I will always offer my honest opinion of a competitor that you may be thinking of using. Some of the time I will tell you they are great, and some of the time I will advise you to run away from them as fast as you can.

My Experience

Where to start? Well I have been a full time web developer ever since I finished my Computer Applications degree in 2005.

I spent a year working for Hewlett Packard in Ireland, before deciding to pack up everything and move to Canada in early 2006.

My first two years in Canada were spent working as a programmer for CRX, a web development company in Vancouver that specialises in online booking software.

My aim had always been to setup my own web development company, so upon moving to Kelowna in 2008 I did just that.

Since then I've had the pleasure of working with clients from Canada, USA, Ireland, UK, Israel and many other places.

I have gotten the chance to take on projects of all different shapes and sizes, and managed to accumulate a wide range of new skills and experience along the way.
